Information about 422 individual bells in 93 towers that have been part of the North Bucks Branch since its formation in 1904.

Where recordings have been made, an analysis of tonal characteristics is shown. Measurements of the dimensions of bells allow comparisons to be made with other bells in a ring and other bells by the same founder.

Inscriptions have been the standard identification diagnostic over the years. Photos of inscription elements are improving the quality of such analysis enabling us to compare inscriptions for bells where the founder is uncertain. They also give a better representation of the artisitic abilities of founders in the creation of their stamps.

This analysis and data gathering is bringing together information on bells in neighbouring counties for extra context and comparative analysis. The results of this can be seen in the Founder Map pages.
